The Haze Did Not Help

Tidaklah seorang muslim tertimpa suatu penyakit dan sejenisnya, melainkan Allah akan mengugurkan bersamanya dosa-dosanya seperti pohon yang mengugurkan daun-daunnya”.

(HR. Bukhari no. 5660 dan Muslim no. 2571).

“Tidaklah seseorang muslim ditimpa keletihan, penyakit, kesusahan, kesedihan, gangguan, kegundah-gulanan hingga duri yang menusuknya, melainkan Allah akan menghapuskan sebagian dari kesalahan-kesalahannya”.(HR. Bukhari no. 5641).

“Tidaklah menimpa seorang mukmin rasa sakit yang terus menerus, kepayahan, penyakit, dan juga kesedihan, bahkan sampai kesusahan yang menyusahkannya, melainkan akan dihapuskan dengan dosa-dosanya”. (HR. Muslim no. 2573).

Have been very sick for the past 2 weeks. The doctor had increased the antibiotics dose. Initially I thought it was just the normal fever and cough. But when I became weaker and weaker, lost my voice and all, I suspected dengue.

However, towards the end of the 2nd week when I had to go for an xray, the clinic referred me to Prince Court Medical Centre and there I was admitted here since Friday. The lung specialist said, it started with lung infection and because of the antibiotics, it had subsided although my left chest is still full of phelgm and I am wheezing. Never have I suffered this, a bit weird when I hear myself wheeze as I sleep. Now it is acute bronchitis and the doctor is giving all the best medication to make my air duct or whatever it is called (no wonder I get C6 for my biology) expand to clear the tightness.

So here I am in PCMC resting and getting the best care and attention and lots of TLC from family and friends.

I think I will be here til Tuesday which means I will miss the Leadership course starting from tomorrow in Putrajaya for a week with a whole duration of 3 months module. The  President of P***** will share his personal journey as he officiates it tomorrow, gonna miss that and hopefully if they defer my participation to the next round he will still be the one officiating. There are only 15 of us. Although it will be a gruelling one, I like management training with few people participating. It will be very engaging.

Anyways, note to myself, will have to take greater care of myself especially when age is not really a number anymore. Although there is a reason we fall sick as per the hadith above, we still have to do our best to mitigate it.

Have a good week ahead ...
